Introduction

On May 11, 2023, the CDC officially announced the end of the Federal COVID-19 PHE Declaration.  We were no longer in a state of emergency.  As we emerged from the Covid Wars, people were confronted with what will I build and who am I?

People are looking for something more profound than temporary success or fleeting fame.  They want to leave an imprint that lasts, something they will be remembered for that communicates their best selves.  In the context of iCommunicate, we call that Legacy.

Your Legacy is not merely a collection of material possessions or accomplishments.  It’s the wisdom, values, and contributions that you pass on.  It’s the footprint you leave in the hearts and minds of others.  If we can get beyond our judgments and complaints and thrive in the language of love (communication), the results would be self-expression and humanity’s core values.

Building Legacy

Once you connect with these core values, you can bring intention to your life in ways you have never considered.  The door is wide open, and with all the new possibilities you have access to, you must master intention.  Being intentional will support you in no longer diluting your power with aimless actions or distractions.  Intentional living requires focus.  No matter how small, every choice can be a step towards the impact you want to make.  So, choose wisely.

On the path of your intentional journey, a significant part of building a legacy involves sharing what you have gotten along the way.  This is where Legacy becomes a true phenomenon.  In the mentoring, teaching, and guidance of others, you pass on the lessons you’ve learned; in doing so, you become wiser, more compassionate, and owning Legacy as a birthright rather than a personal acquisition.  The insights become a living legacy that continues to grow and influence others.

Along the way, exercise the practice of solidifying your Legacy!  Writing, creating art, or any form of expression can be a powerful way to share and expand on your eternal gift.  It can also leave you humbled and in awe of your journey!   These tangible artifacts carry your voice, ideas, and essence into the future.
